Lelio Alfonso

As Managing Partner of Milan, Lelio Alfonso roped his extensive experience in communication, institutional relations and media into Comin & Partners.

He has been Senior Advisor for media relations and communication for Esselunga S.p.A. since 2014, after being public relations, media and public affairs Director for the RCS MediaGroup.

In the past he was General Manager to the Presidency of the Council for institutional and international communications and then Senior Advisor and consultant for several Italian businesses, both public and private (including Eni, Agi, Rai and Cnf).

With a degree in Politics from the University of Genoa, he started his career as a journalist, initially at the Corriere Mercantile and then at the Gazzetta di Parma where he was vice director from 1997 to 2005.

He took part in many national and administrative election campaigns, serving as campaign manager, advisor and media manager and worked with think tanks and foundations: communications director in Italia Futura, advisor for the election campaign of Scelta Civica, manager of Fondazione Italia in Crescita and then coordinator of Italia Unica.

He was a professor of Information Technology applied to Journalism at the University of Parma and of Reputation and disinformation of the Media for the Masters program in Journalism at LUISS Guido Carli University. He also held lessons and seminars in many Italian universities.  He writes essays on media and new technologies for Arel and is the founder and member of the editorial board of the Media laws website, medialaws.eu.

  • Communications manager of the Italia Futura think tank

  • He was one of the founders of the Vedrò think tank
